My flight out of Cork was delayed by just under two hours thanks to the strongest bloody winds I've ever encountered. I've managed to miss my lunch appointment with Cat, but what's really annoying me is Microsoft. Not only did messenger fail to log the message containing various mobile numbers, hotmail on this dodgy Costa Coffee internet cafe computer is refusing to let me edit the main body field of a message. This forces me to use the email subject field as my main medium of expression, leading to message titles like:
AM HERE. FLIGHT DELAYED. WILL RING. DEATH TO MICROSOFT
HAVE ARRIVED THRU HI WINDS. PROFANITY AND TXT-SPK.
BLOODY STUPID UNIVERSE.
Or, using an impressive economy of expression
Update: Gregor just rang, but due to the screaming kids at the next table (first againstr wall when revolution etc), I could make out about one word in five. I hope it was "meet you after work" and not "oh, by the way, the con's been cancelled and everyone you know in Edinburgh has moved to, like, Proxima Centauri or something".
At least it's not as windy here.
Anyway, off to see if I can amuse myself/write Mongoose stuff on the laptop for a few hours.
