Now We Are Here, General Transmission #21

We're having bandwidth issues with the c-links since Prospero went down(!), so I'm switching to text updates from the shuttle. As per consensus, we're securing the cargo pod. The shuttle will hold position just outside, while we head in and check it out.

It looks like it soft-landed ok... minimal damage. Main hatch has been opened, though, from the outside. There's a weird smell in here, sort of like the hot caves. I guess those globule entities were in here, but how they managed to pop the hatch I've no idea.

Ok, things look mostly intact. Equipment matches the manifest, I... holy shit.

There's a stasis tube here. Occupied. I don't recognise her, some redheaded woman. Looks like one of the flight crew. I think the stasis tube was damaged in the landing, it's got warning lights flashing all over it. C-linking glyph.

An image from Higgins' eyes is transmitted over the c-link to the Medical team; according to the monitor, the stasis tube's occupant is indeed severely wounded, and won't survive a defrosting without medical treatment. Even in stasis, she's probably not got long to live.

The readings also show the pod has been running for at least fifty years, probably longer.

A second image is also transmitted, a close-up of the woman's face. None of you have seen her before, but she definitely resembles several other members of the flight crew.

Base, we've got a situation here. Several more of those globule-things just emerged from the edge of the jungle and are heading straight for us! They appear hostile - they're forming blades, like the ones at the lake. What should we do?

What the hell?

Grab what they can, then head back to the shuttle
