I'm rewatching some older Who episodes (Love & Monsters is better than I recall it; Fear Her actually manages to be worse</i>) and I'm struck by how stupidly the Cybermen are written. They're supposed to come from a parallel version of Earth, right? Identical, bar a few minor changes like Pete Tyler. Yet they act as if they're complete aliens. There's one bit in Doomsday where the Cyberleader says that he will speak to the Earth government, and Yvonne scoffs at him, saying 'do your research' - but the Cyberleader should know all about Earth governments. He's from Earth.

Bah. Three RTD episodes to go in the current series.
