For more than two hundred years, there has been no unfamiliar sounds on board the
St. Andrew. The noise of every engine part or atmosphere pump is a familiar, comforting one, as constant as one's own heartbeat. Now, there's a thin, high-pitched, eerie whistling coming from the outer decks.

Traveller Blog

For those who haven't seen it, there's an entry up on the Planet Mongoose blog about Traveller character generation here.

I've spent the day filling in side stuff in the character generation chapter. One thing that amazes me about Classic Traveller is how interlinked all the systems are - chargen determines what ships you can get. The ship design system determines the cost of the ship and how much cargo it can hold. Cargo works with the trading rules to determine how much money you can make, and the trading rules are influenced by the planet design rules.
