This Cthulhu scenario I'm working on keeps throwing up handy synchronicities. I've just discovered that one major scene takes place just down the road from Red Hook, and the state of New York was good enough to drown the location of the final confrontation beneath the Pepacton reservoir...as if trying to cover something.

Isn't it great when that kind of thing happens. I was writing a short story the other day that called for some strange chanting by the Watergate in Embankment Gardens. I figured I'd used Gaudete and then found that the third verse translates as:

The closed gate of Ezechiel
Has been passed through;
Salvation is found there,
Whence the light rises.
